Job summary

Pasadena Independent School District is seeking a Helper - Buildings & Grounds to assist the crew in keeping campuses clean, safe and orderly and to operate school vehicles as needed.

The role requires a Class C license, ability to run riding movers and other equipment, physical stamina, and willingness to work 240 duty days. Starting wage is $13.38 per hour.

Qualifications

• Class C License required.
• Pass criminal history and background check.
• Ability to operate riding movers, edgers, weed eaters, chain saws and hedge trimmers.

• Assist his crew to the best of his ability any duty assigned to that crew.
• Be able to operate all vehicles and equipment
• Be required to drive in other buildings & grounds crews.
• Be responsible for care and daily maintenance of all vehicles and equipment operated.

Working Conditions

Mental Demands: Ability to communicate effectively (verbal); maintain emotional control under stress; interpret policy, procedures, and data; coordinate district functions.

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Strenuous walking, standing, climbing and heavy lifting. Work outside exposure to hot and cold temperature, exposure to dust chemicals and materials, working on and around slippery or uneven surfaces.
