Job summary

Bodycote in Winchester, KY is hiring a Loader/Helper to perform essential heat treatment support under the Plant Manager's direction. This role supports furnace loading/unloading, fixtures, and safety procedures to meet customer specifications.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and the ability to work full-time, 40+ hours per week. Forklift certification may be required, and the role is safety-sensitive within our industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have knowledge of basic math.
• May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work for processing including cleaning, painting, wiring, fixturing, etc.
• Loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Stacks/loads parts in customer bins or containers.
• Immediately brings any unusual problem, irregularity or concern to Heat Treater, Foreman/Lead Person or management.
• Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
• Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.

Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical; have the ability to work full-time, 40+ hours per week. The hours for this position are 6:45 am – 3:15 pm – Monday to Friday.

Position Summary:

• May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
• Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
