The Help Desk Technician I ("Tecnico de Informatica") serves as the first point of contact for technical support to Evans Hotels staff. This entry-level role focuses on troubleshooting basic technical issues, providing general desktop support, assisting with software and hardware setups, and escalating complex problems to higher-tier support staff when necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Act as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance by phone, email, or in-person.
- Provide basic troubleshooting for desktop hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices.
- Assist users with password resets, account unlocks, and basic Active Directory account support.
- Help with setup, configuration, and imaging of laptops, desktops, and workstations.
- Maintain accurate logging of all service requests and incidents in the ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2 or Tier 3 support staff as appropriate.
- Assist in onboarding new employees by setting up accounts, workstations, and peripherals.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates and inventory checks.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITF+, or current coursework in IT fields preferred but not required.
- 1–2 years of experience and/or training in IT help desk, technical support, or a related field.
- Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity a plus.
- A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
- Experience in dealing with the public or relevant customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, LAN, IP addressing).
- Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Ability to diagnose basic issues related to hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and grow within the IT team.
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50lbs.
