A leading waste management company in East Lansing is seeking a Help Desk Technician. You will provide IT support via phone, email, and in person to troubleshoot and resolve incidents. Qualifications

  • 2+ years of IT Help Desk experience in remote and in-person settings.
  • Knowledge of basic network connectivity issues.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements and pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Assist associates to troubleshoot and resolve incidents and requests.
  • Regularly check the ticketing system for issues and document actions.
  • Maintain IT inventory by tracking distribution and return of equipment.

Skills

Basic knowledge of Microsoft’s core applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Familiarity with IT support tools (ServiceDesk Plus, IT Glue, NinjaRMM)

Education

Associate’s degree in a technical field or 2+ years of IT Help Desk experience

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, in office

Job Summary

  • Assist associates via phone, email, support portal, and onsite to troubleshoot and resolve first and second level incidents and requests
  • This includes workstation setup, software updates, hardware installation, and travel to remote sites
  • Assist project teams with technical issues and implementations
  • Check the ticketing system regularly for new and ongoing issues, documenting all actions and resolutions
  • Support associates with basic network connectivity issues and help connect to the network
  • Maintain IT inventory and asset management by tracking the distribution and return of IT equipment

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field or 2+ years of IT Help Desk experience in remote and in-person settings
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft’s core applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and operating systems
  • Familiarity with IT support tools (ServiceDesk Plus, IT Glue, NinjaRMM) and how technology supports IT services
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position and pass a physical and drug screen, including marijuana (pre-employment and random)
