Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provides support services to users of the organization’s computer systems and network, desktop/laptop and/or server hardware, configuration and troubleshooting.
  2. Acts as a first-level problem identification and resolution resource, including answering questions, providing advice, investigating, troubleshooting, and following-up to assist users in solving data processing problems.
  3. The position will mainly be working from home; however, based on business and operational activity, there may be a need for working in a nearby regional office.
  4. Preference to reside near our Boston Regional Office or any of the Regional Offices within our Southcentral Region. Check out our location on www.meillc.com/locations.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Associates degree or equivalent in information technology.
  2. A minimum of one (1) year proven experience as Help Desk Support or comparable field in an environment supporting multiple locations, across multiple time zones, remotely or on-site.
  3. A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Help Desk Specialist with broad technical knowledge of troubleshooting and resolving a wide variety of complex user problems.
  4. A minimum of one (1) year supporting Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Printers, Scanners, and Mobile Devices.

Professional Skills

  1. Excellent interpersonal and project management skills.
  2. Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including high attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  5. Ability to create and write clear, complete documentation of systems and procedures.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and intermediate SQL command utilization for reporting.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Standard office environment including work at a computer terminal. Work involves extended periods of sitting, occasional walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
