Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System, Amarillo, is seeking a Help Desk Operator to coordinate the IS Help Desk and route service requests. You will provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and web requests, escalate as needed, and track issues to ensure timely resolutions.

Responsibilities include updating access controls, maintaining repair sign-out logs, coordinating with teams, and documenting software licenses and equipment. UHS benefits are available to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of personal computers and productivity software.

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with print vendor for toner cartridge replacement.
• Updates employee system access and manages role-based access data.
• Maintains logbook for equipment signed out for repairs.
• Assists in planning tasks for projects and department moves.
• Documents and tracks software licenses, new equipment, and disposals.
• Manages pager inventory, repairs, replacements and expenses.
• Tracks IS expenses and processes invoices.

Position: Help Desk Operator

Position Summary:

Coordinates the IS Help Desk and service calls from users. Provides first level of support, escalates and routes service requests appropriately.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Responds to telephone calls, emails and web requests for technical support. Provides first level of support, escalates and routes service requests appropriately.
2. Tracks and monitors problems and requests to ensure timely resolutions.
3. Works with print vendor to replace toner cartridges when necessary.
4. Performs employee system access table updates. Coordinates efforts with Technical and Support Services teams to update the role-based access database.
5. Maintains logbook on equipment signed out for repairs.
6. Assists in evaluating and planning tasks for projects, department moves, etc.
7. Properly documents and tracks software licenses, new equipment, replacements, and disposals in the Help Desk System
8. Manages pager inventory, repairs, replacement, and expenses.
9. Tracks IS expenses and issues check requests for invoices.

Education, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:
