Job summary

Figure, an AI robotics company in San Jose, CA, is seeking an iOS lead to own the consumer iPhone app end-to-end. You will set the technical direction for the platform, ship the app, and grow the team behind it.

You’ll lead architecture decisions, own onboarding, capture, tasks, earnings, and notifications, and work closely with Android, hardware, and backend engineers to deliver complete features. This is a founding iOS role on a fast-moving team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and shipping consumer iOS apps at scale.
• Expert in Swift and SwiftUI.
• Deep experience with AVFoundation camera, media pipelines, and offline-first sync.
• Experience as the lead or senior-most engineer on a mobile platform.
• Strong product sense and an obsession with UI quality and performance.
• Comfortable owning a platform end to end on a small, fast-moving team.

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 03, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It's time to build.

We're looking for an iOS lead to own Figure's consumer iPhone app end to end. The app pairs with proprietary hardware and will ingest high volumes of data.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience at top consumer app companies (Snapchat, Instagram, Uber, or similar).
• Bluetooth (BLE) or connected-device integration experience.
• Cross-platform experience (React Native, Flutter, or KMP).
• Experience with Apple's MFi (Made for iPhone/iPad) Program and integrating iOS apps with external hardware accessories.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $200,000 - $400,000 annually. The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
