Job summary

Figure is an AI robotics company based in San Jose, CA, seeking an Android lead to own Figure's consumer Android app end to end and to partner with hardware and backend teams to deliver high-quality experiences.

You will be the founding Android engineer, setting the technical direction for the platform, shipping the app, and growing the team behind it in a fast-moving environment focused on performance and stability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and shipping consumer Android apps at scale.
• Expert in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Deep experience with CameraX or Camera2, media pipelines, and offline-first sync.
• Experience as the lead or senior-most engineer on a mobile platform.
• Strong product sense, with performance discipline across a fragmented device matrix.
• Comfortable owning a platform end to end on a small, fast-moving team.

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 03, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It's time to build.

We're looking for an Android lead to own Figure's consumer Android app end to end. The app pairs with proprietary hardware and will ingest high volumes of data.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $200,000 - $400,000 annually. The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
