Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate required.
• Must possess Helicopter instrument rating and Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Must have a total of 2,000 flight hours, including 2,000 helicopter hours.

Responsibilities

• Work with medical experts to transport customers safely to locations.
• Ensure aircraft readiness by following manuals and cleaning protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records as required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and flight crews.
• Provide shift change information according to protocol.
• Maintain required certifications and train regularly.

Overview

We’re hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services to REACH Air Medical Services customers. Safety is a key pillar of our services.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary: $124,263-$136,689 including 40% Geographic Modifier
• IFR Allowance: $5,000
• Sign‑on Bonus: $15,000 (subject to eligibility)
• Retention Bonus Plan: $40,000 after 42 months, plus additional bonuses upon completion of program milestones
• On‑duty housing
• 7/7 schedule

Location

Salinas, CA

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and company requirements, and maintain aircraft cleanliness
• Maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change information to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording company change board details
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training

Minimum Requirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 total flight hours
• 2,000 helicopter flight hours
• 1,000 helicopter PIC hours
• 1,000 turbine hours
• Minimum 100 cumulative hours of instrument flight time
• Minimum 200 helicopter night hours (aided and/or unaided)
• 230-pound weight limit with flight gear

Aircraft Experience

• Previous Airbus EC135/H135 or similar aircraft experience preferred, but not required.
