Job summary

22nd Century Technologies Inc. in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Aerospace Technician to perform disassembly, repair, and assembly of AH-64 mechanical components.

The candidate must read and write in English, pass required certification classes, and handle up to 35 lbs while standing for extended periods. Responsibilities include troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems, performing validation testing, fabricating parts per specifications, and assisting with safe handling of aerospace

Qualifications

• Must pass certification classes including Torque, Safety Practices, Mixing and Sealant, and Precision Measuring Equipment.
• Able to read and write in English and follow work instructions precisely.
• Able to lift 35 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble systems components to support failure correction or changes.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components.
• Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components.
• Fabricate and modify aerospace products per specifications.
• Support safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).
• Repair, modify and assemble AH-64 mechanical components.

Shift Schedule: 4/10 Mon-Fri (5 am to 3:30 pm)

Job Description:

• Regular and predictable attendance is required
• Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes.
• Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
• Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
• Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.
• Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).
• Daily tasks include repair, modification and or assembly of AH-64 mechanical components.

Required Skills:

• Requires proficiency in reading and writing in English along with the ability to pass certification classes including Torque, Safety Practices, Mixing and Sealant, and Precision Measuring Equipment to name a few.
• Candidates must be computer literate to follow work instructions, record maintenance and labor activities.
• Must be able to lift 35lbs and remain standing for extended periods of time.

Preferred Skills

• Previous AH-64, or similar aircraft experience is preferred.

Education/Experience

• Typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).
