Job summary

A leading company is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Dallas. This temporary position requires extensive experience in aviation maintenance, particularly in helicopters. Responsibilities include inspections, assembly, troubleshooting, and customer interfacing. Ideal candidates hold an FAA A&P license and have a strong understanding of aviation systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years aviation maintenance experience, including helicopter work.
  • Ability to qualify for Repairman Certificate, if needed.
  • General knowledge of standard practices.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, assemble, install, and troubleshoot aircraft systems.
  • Conduct operational checks and participate in flight tests.
  • Log work performed and interface with customers.

Job Description

Your challenges:

  • Perform detailed inspections, assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of parts and components.
  • Conduct operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose malfunction or failures on the following aircraft systems: aircraft equipment furnishings, fire protection, fuel system, hydraulics, landing gear, doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems, power plant and engine controls.
  • Participate in flight tests on aircraft and log work to be performed, as required. Interface with customer for delivery; prepare for delivery inspection and any problems customer may discover.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

  • Minimum six (6) years of aviation maintenance experience. Some experience MUST be on helicopters.
  • Current FAA A&P license OR the ability to qualify for a Repairman Certificate.(Repairman Certificate requires 18 months of maintenance experience on Airbus manufactured helicopters).
  • Safran Turbomeca engine experience is preferred but not required.
  • General knowledge of standard practices and troubleshooting methods.
  • US Person under ITAR definition required (FOR EXAMPLE: U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)

Additional Information

This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed.
