Job summary

Bell Training Academy is seeking a pilot instructor to deliver academic and simulator training for visual and instrument flight. You will help develop courseware, uphold safety procedures, and coordinate with maintenance to prep aircraft for flights. Occasional travel internationally or domestically is required.

The role demands strong communication, regulatory compliance, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment while supporting Bell’s global aviation training initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 5 years of Helicopter Aviation experience.
  • Commercial rotorcraft license is required.
  • CFI/CFII (AGI for ground instructors) is preferred.
  • Minimum 1000 hours total time in helicopters.
  • At least 500 hours as instructor pilot.
  • No revocation of any pilot’s license by the FAA or regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined and able to meet objectives.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel and MS Projects.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver academic ground instruction and simulator training to customers for visual and instrument flight.
  • Coordinate and participate in development of flight/ground training courseware.
  • Adhere to flight safety and procedures; interface with maintenance for aircraft prep.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Aviation Authority requirements.
  • May travel domestically or internationally as required by the customer.
  • May work shifts outside 8am-5pm as needed by business demand.

Bell Training Academy Team

Bring your experience and ideas and help usinstruct clients/customers on Bell aircraft regarding aircraft systems,planningconsiderations and in-flight operations using classroom, training devices, flight simulatorsand aircraft flight training in various Bell models.Opportunity for worldwide off-site travel is required for providing academic and flight training to our global customer base plan and execute aircraft flights around the world.This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with customers and employees. You’ll be able to support return to service flights, sales / marketing flights, and ferry flights both domestically and internationally on an as needed basis.

What you’ll be doing as Bell Training Academy Pilot(BTA Pilot)
  • Responsible for delivering academic ground instruction and simulator training to customers for visual and instrument flight.
  • Coordinate and participate in development of flight/ground training courseware.
  • Responsible for following flight safety and practice area procedures along with interfacing with maintenance facility group to ensure aircraft are adequately prepared for flight.
  • Compliance with all applicable Aviation Authority requirements
  • May travel domestically or internationally as required by the customer.
  • May work shifts outside of 8am-5pm schedule as required by the business demand.
Skills You Bring To this Role:
  • Must have at least 5 years of Helicopter Aviation experience

  • Increased level based on instruction time in aircraft
  • Prior experience instructing for other Civil Aviation Authorities
  • Prior experience completingFAA/EASA audits
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion while working under pressure of deadlines and priority changes.
