Job summary

Heli Preflight in Mt. Pleasant, PA seeks an experienced avionics technician to fabricate and install basic avionics and electrical systems on corporate or general aviation aircraft.

The role involves assisting with complex installations, disassembling interiors for access, and performing wiring harness work as well as compliance checks. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in aviation, knowledge of AC43.13 wiring practices, the ability to read wiring diagrams, and strong troubleshooting skills on

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience with Corporate or General Aviation aircraft.
  • AC43.13 standard wiring practices knowledge.
  • Reading and interpreting aircraft wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with avionics test equipment.
  • Ability to read basic electrical components and systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills on digital and analog systems.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and/or install basic avionics and electrical systems.
  • Assist with complex system installations and tasks.
  • Disassemble and reassemble aircraft interior as needed to facilitate avionics installs/repairs
  • Complete wiring harness fabrication and installation.
  • Complete coax installations.
  • Comply with 91.411-413 tests.
  • Route and manage road trips as required.

Job description

Location: Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, USA
Type: Permanent

Description
  • Fabricate and/or install basic avionics and electrical systems.
  • Assist with complex system installations and tasks.
  • Disassemble and reassemble aircraft interior as needed to facilitate avionics installs/repairs
  • Light sheet metal fabrications as directed to facilitate avionics installation or repairs
  • Assist with wiring harness wire board set up and lay out
  • Complete wiring harness fabrication and installation
  • Complete coax installations
  • Complete or assist with electrical harness continuity & power checks
  • Complete or assist with ground operational tests and inspections
  • Comply with Pre-Post Test Flights
  • Comply with 91.411-413 Tests
  • Helicopter experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of AC43.13 standard aircraft wiring practices
  • Sheet metal experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft wiring diagrams
  • Understanding of basic electrical components & systems
  • Proficient with soldering and terminal / pin crimping techniques
  • Good troubleshooting skills with both digital & analog systems
  • Knowledge of autopilot systems
  • Familiarization with basic Avionics test equipment
  • Ensure all tags are properly filled out and attached to respective parts.
  • Able to consistently produce quality work, setting high standards, team player, good attitude, company oriented. Road trips as required
Job Requirements

Full Time 40 hours per week
