Responsibilities

  • Effectively schedule daily flight operations to meet customer demands.
  • Communicate directly with airborne aircraft to ensure task completion.
  • Provide flight following and locating services to company helicopters.
  • Interact with Customs and Border Patrol for passenger and cargo processing.
  • Prepare statistics and data for customers, management, and flight operations.
  • Communicate with airport operations and fuel suppliers.
  • Proper labeling and handling of hazardous materials (HAZMAT).
  • Prepare customer invoices for daily flight operations.
  • Coordinate and schedule required customer training.
  • Intake HEMS calls and coordinate with Hospitals and other HAA facilities for the transfer of patient care.
  • Initiate ERP’s in the event of helicopter emergencies.

Part-Time Helicopter Communication Specialist

Location: North Kingstown (Quonset State Airport), Rhode Island

Workplace Modality: In person (No hybrid or work from home opportunity)

Worker Category & FLSA Status: Part-Time (Hourly, Non-Exempt)

Schedule: Approximately 12-24 hours per week. Day and night shift rotation with weekends as needed.

Job Summary

HeliService USA is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized helicopter Communication Specialist to join our operations in Quonset, Rhode Island. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring all helicopter flight operations and coordinating with pilots and ground crews to ensure safe, efficient, and timely dispatching of aircraft. Key responsibilities include communicating with pilots, managing flight schedules, tracking weather conditions, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, is reliable, proactive, and has the ability to multitask under pressure. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding and/or background of aviation procedures and safety protocols.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Effectively schedule daily flight operations to meet customer demands

Preferred
  • Previous experience in aviation, dispatch, operations, emergency communications, logistics, or a similar fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with radio communications and aircraft tracking
  • Possess a private Pilot’s License (PPL) or Dispatcher License.
  • Experience with helicopter operations

Part-time employees are not eligible to participate in group medical, dental, or vision insurance coverage and do not accrue paid time off (PTO).
