Job summary

Helicopter Transport Services, LLC seeks an experienced Aviation Electrical / Avionics Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex aircraft electrical and avionics systems. You will work on navigation, communication, radar, and autopilot equipment, ensuring FAA compliance and safety.

Role requires 3–5 years in avionics/electrical maintenance, FAA A&P certification, and strong diagnostic skills with advanced testing equipment.

Qualifications

FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent military/industry experience.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an Avionics or Electrical Technician in aviation.
Additional certifications (FCC, IA, EASA) or specialized avionics training are a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on avionics equipment (navigation, communication, radar, autopilot).
Inspect and test electrical systems, instruments and controls for FAA compliance.
Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
Maintain and repair electrical wiring and power systems for safe operation.
Assist with installation, upgrades and modifications of avionics/electrical systems per aircraft specs and FAA guidelines.
Document maintenance work, inspections, parts used, and modifications per regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with engineers and maintenance personnel to resolve issues and mentor junior technicians.
