Job summary

Hela’s Cantina in Reno, NV is seeking a friendly bartender to serve drinks, mix cocktails, and provide guests with outstanding service in a fast-paced environment. You will use the POS system, maintain a clean station, check IDs, and collaborate with team while upholding Rose standards and responsible alcohol service.

The role requires 21+ years of age, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and prior bartending experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a current Alcohol Awareness Certification.
• Bartending experience preferred.
• Knowledge of beers, brands, and cocktails.
• Excellent English communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent and efficient guest service.
• Pour, mix, and serve beverages with high quality and consistency.
• Using Point of Sale system to take food and beverage orders for guests in a timely manner.
• Accurately record and sell menu items.
• Knowledge of all bar menu items, brands, prices, and garnishes.
• Collect accurate payment from the guest and deposit the exact amount of sales.
• Maintain professional uniform and appearance standards.
• Use product knowledge to maximize sales and help guests make drink selections.
• Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with co-workers and supervisors.
• Monitor the alcohol intake of guests and make reasonable effort to prevent guests from becoming intoxicated.
• Check guest IDs to confirm guests ordering alcohol are at least 21 years of age.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Job description

Hela’s Cantina Bartenders are responsible for selling food items and mixing, and pouring drinks for guests in Hela’s Cantina.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a current Alcohol Awareness Certification
• Bartending experience preferred
• Knowledge of popular beers, alcohol brands, and cocktails required
• Excellent English communication and customer service skills required
• Must be able to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor
