Lucchese Bootmaker in El Paso, TX is seeking a Heel Set to join our Finishing team. The role focuses on shaping, attaching, and finishing leather heels to ensure boot comfort, balance, and durability, while meeting exacting craftsmanship standards.

As part of the Finishing department, you will operate machinery, align and secure heels, inspect materials for defects, and uphold safety and quality guidelines on a 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years related experience in boot manufacturing.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow production tickets and work orders accurately.

Responsabilités

• From the rack, remove one boot at a time and revise the ticket to find the correct size on the boot/style.
• Check ticket to see if it is a women's or men's boot and get the correct heel part number.
• Apply cement to heel and outsole.
• Align, attach, and secure heels to boot soles using nails and adhesives.
• Sand the bottom of the heel and ensure even height, angle, and finish.
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure heels meet design specifications.
