Mindrift is conducting a paid in-person study in Midtown Manhattan focusing on how Hebrew speakers use their phones and digital tools. You will be asked to share daily usage patterns and walk through how you interact with apps and devices.

Eligible participants are 18+, native Hebrew speakers living in NYC, with 3+ years using a smartphone as their main device, and able to commit to 3 consecutive days for the study.

• Native Hebrew speaker who grew up in Israel
• Hebrew used daily (texts, email, notes)
• Used a smartphone as main personal phone for 3+ years
• Comfortable communicating in English
• Available for 3 consecutive days (Mon–Wed or Thu–Sat), starting Oct 16 on Friday
• Not currently employed by a tech or AI company

Mindrift is running a research study on how people use their phones, apps and everyday digital tools, and how that differs across languages and cultures. We’re looking for native Hebrew speakers in New York to join a paid, 3-day in-person study in Midtown Manhattan.

Why your language matters

Most technology is still designed with English speakers in mind. This study helps researchers understand how people who communicate in Hebrew actually use their devices, so future products work better for them.

What you’ll do

• Spend 1-3 days with our research team in Midtown Manhattan.
• Walk us through how you use your phone and favourite apps in daily life.
• Share examples of your everyday phone activity with the research team. You decide what’s included.
• Fill in a short questionnaire about your habits.

Who we’re looking for

• 18+ and currently living in NYC.
• A native Hebrew speaker who grew up in Israel.
• You use Hebrew in everyday life: texting friends, email, notes.
• You’ve used a smartphone as your main personal phone for 3+ years.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
• Available for 3 consecutive days (Mon–Wed or Thu–Sat), starting October 16 on Friday.
• Not currently employed by a tech or AI company.
  

Great fit for international students, people new to NYC, and anyone between jobs or with a flexible schedule.

Compensation

$100/hour, up to $2,400 for the full study.
