Job summary

Lander-Grinspoon Academy in Northampton, MA is seeking a dynamic part-time Hebrew/Judaics teacher for grades K-6. This role is ideal for a current grad student, someone exploring school-based teaching, or a recently retired teacher not ready to leave the field.

You will teach two Hebrew/Judaics classes daily, with some flexibility based on skill level and interests, and will partner with families in regular communication while nurturing Jewish identity and studying Jewish holidays.

Qualifications

• Speak Hebrew fluently.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree.
• Have strong Judaic content knowledge.
• Have experience teaching elementary grade students.
• Work well as part of a team.

You will teach two Hebrew/Judaics classes every day. There is some flexibility based on skill level and interest as to which classes those would be. In addition, you will:

• Partner with families in regular communication

• Nurture a joyful sense of Jewish identity within each student

• Teach about Jewish holidays at appropriate times of year

• Commit to implementing our social/emotional curriculum as well as our strong academic program
