Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking reliable and professional English/Hebrew Educational Interpreters for part-time, as-needed employment in Eastern Suffolk County, New York. Interpreters will provide in-person interpretation services for students, families, educators, and school staff.

Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and Hebrew, travel to assignments in person, and maintain strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English and Hebrew for educational interpretation.
• Ability to interpret accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong listening and communication skills in classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Interpret for parent-teacher conferences, CSE/ CPSE meetings, and school events.
• Provide in-person interpretation to ensure clear communication among students, families, educators, and staff.
• Maintain neutrality, avoid adding or omitting information, and adhere to school policies.
