Roles And Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles up to and over 7.5 tonnes, including rigid trucks, articulated lorries, tankers, transporters, and trailer wagons.
• Drive long or short distances.
• Plan delivery schedules and routes with transport managers.
• Supervise or assist with loading and unloading goods.
• Lift and carry goods as needed.
• Ensure loads are safely secured.
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers.
• Follow applicable traffic laws and regulations.
• Maintain detailed logs of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Inspect goods and prepare transport documents.
• Check vehicle condition to ensure safety before departure.
• Transport goods to final destinations.
