Job summary

Sunoco in Pittsburgh is seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain major truck and trailer systems. You will service brakes, engine, transmission, electrical and other subsystems, perform preventive maintenance, and support occasional road service.

You will schedule work through the shop, maintain PM schedules and state/federal inspections, oversee work by outside vendors, and ensure accurate records.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within one year of hire.
• Minimum of three years of heavy truck and trailer maintenance experience.
• Experience interacting with parts and service vendors; maintaining maintenance records and scheduling inspections.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with major truck components.
• Maintain accurate PM and repair records; perform occasional road service.
• Schedule work through the shop to maintain PM schedules and inspections.
• Oversee repair work by outside vendors and ensure compliant servicing of tractors/trailers.
