Job summary

Hunter Truck Sales & Service LLC in Wheatland, PA is seeking a Resident Diesel Mechanic Technician to perform supervised and unsupervised work to repair heavy-duty trucks to dealership and factory standards. The role focuses on diagnosing engines and transmissions, performing electrical and chassis repairs on Peterbilt products, and maintaining accurate repair documentation.

The position requires at least 5 years in heavy-duty trucking, tool readiness, and likely CDL or OEM certifications;

Qualifications

• 5 years of heavy-duty truck experience required; CAT, PACCAR, and Cummins engine experience preferred.
• Must have the necessary supply of hand tools to complete repairs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers as needed.
• Diagnose and repair Cummins, Cat, and Paccar engines along with Eaton and Meritor carriers and transmissions.
• Perform chassis and electrical repairs on Peterbilt products.
• Identify warrantable repairs and complete repairs within SRT guidelines.
• Communicate with customers and management; coordinate with Parts Department for parts; document work performed and update repair orders.
