Job summary

Kinloch Equipment & Supply in Pharr, Texas is seeking a technician to diagnose and repair a broad range of heavy‑duty municipal equipment, including vac trucks and street sweepers. You will work with the Service Writer and Parts team, perform safety inspections, and carry out preventative maintenance in a clean, safety‑focused workspace.

Requirements include technical school in diesel/heavy equipment preferred, a valid driver's license, 3+ years of mechanic experience, and experience with

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited technical school in diesel engine/hydraulics/heavy equipment repair preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Completion of a job-related background check in accordance with applicable laws.
• 3+ years’ experience working in a mechanic / technician role.
• Experienced with hydraulic and/or electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty and niche municipal equipment.
• Work on vac trucks, hydro vacs, street sweepers, refuse/recycling trucks, and more.
• Collaborate with the Service Writer and Parts team to ensure efficient service.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
