Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in medium and/or heavy truck repair and maintenance.
• Outstanding mechanical aptitude and skills to produce top results.
• VA State Inspector certification or willingness to obtain it.
• CDL class A or B or willingness to obtain one.
• Motivation and self-reliance.
• Desire to drive team success.
• Ability to operate power and hand tools safely.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information.

Responsibilities

• Receives repair orders from Shop Foreman.
• Performs work in order and in a timely, thorough manner; maintains workmanship standards.
• Advises Shop Foreman of recommended changes in services.
• Determines further repairs to recommend to the customer.
• Maintains training and experience with equipment and servicing techniques.
• Attends training sessions as required by Service Manager.
• Performs additional repairs if customer issues arise from technician’s workmanship.
• Maintains accurate work order records and time clocks.
