Job summary

McDonald’s Towing is hiring drivers in Kalamazoo, MI. Our team handles calls for police municipalities and everyday customers. You’ll operate heavy‑duty tow trucks, including rotators, with a CDL‑A. We value honesty, dependability, and strong customer service.

You will drive safely on highways and backroads, complete calls promptly, perform vehicle inspections, and coordinate with dispatch. The role offers 40 hours weekly with overtime, trucks provided, and a clean background is required.

Qualifications

• Clean background and good driving record required.
• Valid ID and Class-A CDL are mandatory.
• Experience with heavy-duty tow trucks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service on every call.
• Safely hook up and tow vehicles, ensuring timeliness and care.
• Operate company vehicles on highways and back roads safely.
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers.
• Perform daily truck inspections and report issues.
• Adhere to safety rules and DOT regulations.
• Use company iPads and body cams as required.
• Assess road and weather conditions to complete jobs.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our drivers are responsible for efficiently and effectively completing calls for a wide variety of clients. Daily, we deal with the local police municipalities, accounts, and everyday customers. Our drivers are the first face that customers see, and we expect them to leave our customers with a great experience. Our drivers are expected to thoroughly complete their job in a timely manner, while also taking care of the customers vehicle to the best of their ability. We ask that you have a clean background, good driving record, a valid ID and a Class-A CDL. Not your normal trucking operator job! We are looking for dedicated individuals that want to work with heavy duty tow trucks, lowboys, and rotators. 40 hours guaranteed plus over time! Everyday is different and trucks are provided. Looking for someone who is honest, dependable, and trustworthy. Pay will be based on experience. Please reach out if you have any more questions.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service on every call.
• The ability to complete a call in a timely manner while also making sure that the vehicle is properly hooked up.
• The ability to drive a company vehicle safely on both the highway and backroads.
• The ability to communicate and work closely with the dispatchers.
• The ability to perform a truck inspection daily and identify any truck issues that have occurred and notify management immediately.
• The ability to follow all safety rules, both company and DOT regulations.
• The ability to use company iPads and body cams to perform your job.
• The ability to understand situations and have knowledge of the conditions (both road and weather related) when completing a job.
• Assist in training new employees to the best of your knowledge.
• Other duties that are assigned.

Physical Requirements

This job requires heavy lifting, crawling, pulling, bending, reaching, and constant use of your hands. It requires significant physical strength and stamina. Good hearing and vision are required. You must be able to pass a drug test to be hired.
