Job summary

Valiant Integrated Services is seeking a Heavy Truck Driver to join our team. You will operate large tactical vehicles and trailers to transport personnel, cargo, fuel and ammunition, and you will load and secure cargo in compliance with all regulations.

You will also perform vehicle inspections, maintenance, ammunition warehousing duties, and aerial resupply tasks as required. Willingness to travel across the continental US and foreign countries is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL license.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and abroad.

Responsibilities

• Operate large tactical vehicles, buses, forklifts, gooseneck trailers, and UTVs to transport personnel, cargo, fuel and ammunition over routes.
• Load and secure cargo in compliance with regulations and vehicle capabilities.
• Perform operator level inspections and routine maintenance.
• Handle ammunition warehousing duties including accountability, storage, delivery and distribution.
• Perform aerial resupply tasks including pallet building, loading, delivery and recovery.
• Other duties as required per mission support requirements.

Valiant is looking for a Heavy Truck Driver to join our team!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates large tactical vehicles, busses, forklifts, dually trucks, gooseneck trailers, refrigerated trucks and UTVs to transport personnel, cargo, fuel and ammunition over specified routes to local or distant points according to requirements.
• Loads and secures cargo ensuring compliance with Federal, State, Ft. Polk and Valiant regulatory requirements and vehicle capability.
• Performs operator level inspections and maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Performs various ammunition warehousing duties to include accountability, storage, delivery, and distribution of ammunition.
• Various Aerial Resupply tasks to include pallet building, loading, delivery, and recovery from designated airfields and/or drop zones and parachute recovery.
• Performs other duties in accordance with Mission Support Requirements as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL license.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental US and foreign countries.
• Individual must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening, will be subject to random drug screening.
• Must be able to work shift work, holidays and weekends.
• Must obtain a HAZMAT CDL and Tanker endorsement within 60 days of hire, as duty requires.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement with no air brake restrictions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Individual must be able to lift up to 60 pounds, be in good physical condition, and able to work outside.
