Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operates large tactical vehicles, buses, forklifts, dually trucks, gooseneck trailers, refrigerated trucks and UTVs to transport personnel, cargo, fuel and ammunition over routes as required.
• Loads and secures cargo ensuring compliance with Federal, State, Ft. Polk and Valiant regulations and vehicle capability.
• Performs operator level inspections and maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Performs ammunition warehousing duties including accountability, storage, delivery and distribution.
• Performs aerial resupply tasks including pallet building, loading, delivery and parachute recovery.
• Performs other duties in accordance with Mission Support Requirements as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates large tactical vehicles, busses, forklifts, dually trucks, gooseneck trailers, refrigerated trucks and UTVs to transport personnel, cargo, fuel and ammunition over specified routes to local or distant points according to requirements.
• Loads and secures cargo ensuring compliance with Federal, State, Ft. Polk and Valiant regulatory requirements and vehicle capability.
• Performs operator level inspections and maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Performs various ammunition warehousing duties to include accountability, storage, delivery, and distribution of ammunition.
• V arious Aerial Resupply tasks to include pallet building, loading, delivery, and recovery from designated airfields and/or drop zones and parachute recovery.
• Performs other duties in accordance with Mission Support Requirements as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL license.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental US and foreign countries.
• Individual must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening, will be subject to random drug screening.
• Must be able to work shift work, holidays and weekends.
• Must obtain a HAZMAT CDL and Tanker endorsement within 60 days of hire, as duty requires.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement with no air brake restrictions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Individual must be able to lift up to 60 pounds, be in good physical condition, and able to work outside.
