Job summary

Tunista Logistics Solutions LLC is seeking a Heavy Truck Driver to operate heavy equipment safely for roads and grounds maintenance. You will manage loading/unloading, secure loads, and support water truck operations in various conditions.

Candidates should have four years of heavy equipment experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and pass background checks. DOT/FMCSA standards knowledge is essential for this role.

Qualifications

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Heavy Truck Driver is responsible for operating various heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Operate loaders, graders, farm tractors etc. in the performance of roads and grounds maintenance or other maintenance activities as required.
• Maintain all assigned equipment in a safe operating condition
• Oversee loading and unloading of vehicular type equipment or various other items.
• Secure loads on trailer for travel over various road conditions.
• Operate water trucks for road maintenance.
• Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to comply with DOT FMCSA standards.
• Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.
• Must be able to work in a team environment
