Job summary

Michels Corporation is seeking a Heavy Trailer Mechanic in Brownsville, TX to perform setup, maintenance, inspection, and wiring work on a large fleet of trailers.

The role requires welding experience and the ability to provide personal hand tools, with a focus on mechanical and electrical aptitude and basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience working on trailers or related experience.
• Prior welding experience.
• Ability to provide own hand tools.
• Mechanical and Electrical aptitude.
• Basic computer proficiency (desired).

Responsibilities

• Complete initial setup and maintenance of a wide range of trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers.
• Inspect and install wiring for trailer lights and tires.
• Weld parts as directed and test system components.

As a Heavy Trailer Mechanic, your key responsibility will be to complete initial set up and maintenance work on a vast array of trailers. You will perform preventative maintenance of trailers; inspect and install wiring for trailer lights and tires; weld parts as directed, and test components and systems to verify work completed.
