Job summary

Michels Corporation is seeking a Heavy Trailer Mechanic in Wisconsin to perform setup, maintenance, and inspection of a wide array of trailers. You will weld parts, work on wiring for lights and tires, and test systems to verify proper operation.

We value attention to detail, teamwork, and mechanical/electrical aptitude. Candidates should have welding experience and be prepared to provide their own hand tools for daily use.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience working on trailers or related equipment.
• Prior welding experience.
• Ability to provide own hand tools.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Basic computer proficiency (desired).

Responsibilities

• Complete initial setup and maintenance on a range of trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Inspect and install wiring for trailer lights and tires; weld parts as directed.
• Test components and systems to verify work completed.

As a Heavy Trailer Mechanic, your key responsibility will be to complete initial set up and maintenance work on a vast array of trailers. You will perform preventative maintenance of trailers; inspect and install wiring for trailer lights and tires; weld parts as directed, and test components and systems to verify work completed.
