The Jacobson Group is seeking an Insurance Underwriter to join its team in the United States. The role focuses on heavy towing and transportation industry exposures, evaluating submissions and pricing accordingly.

Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, with preferred CPCU/AU certifications and bilingual Spanish/English abilities. Responsibilities include underwriting, risk analysis, and collaboration with agents and clients to ensure compliant, profitable coverage offerings

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience, focused on commercial auto.
• Experience in towing, transportation or fleet risks preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CPCU or AU certifications preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate new and renewal submissions for heavy towing and commercial auto risks.
• Analyze loss runs, driver records, financial statements and exposures to assess risk.
• Determine coverage terms, pricing, deductibles and underwriting requirements.
• Communicate with agents, brokers and clients to explain coverage options and underwriting decisions.
• Maintain adherence to underwriting guidelines and carrier standards.
