Job summary

Akima Intra-Data (AID) in Biloxi, Mississippi, is seeking a Heavy Repair Maintenance Technician to support carpenters and pavements personnel with carpentry, concrete, and asphalt repair work on a variety of projects.

You will perform a broad range of carpentry tasks, construct and repair structures, install sheetrock and flooring, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental directives.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid US Driver’s License.
• Must have an excellent understanding of safety directives and polices.

Responsibilities

• Assists in carpentry tasks including new construction, remodeling, renovation and demolition.
• Constructs, repairs, restores and installs structures such as floors, doors, walls, windows, stairways, furniture, cabinets, shelves, and roofs.
• Builds forms, frames, ceilings and roofs with common materials.
• Install and finish sheetrock including patching and repairing.
• Installs tile, vinyl, carpet, acoustical, ceramic.
• Repair doors, roofs, ceilings, stairs, floors, windows and roll-up doors.
• Maintains equipment and shop/work site areas; ensures good housekeeping.
• Maintain and repair pavements incl. site prep, forming, finishing and sealing.
