Heavy Carpenter and Concrete Worker

Job Description

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Heavy Carpenters and Concrete Workers to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks and concrete work in large-scale construction projects. Your expertise will ensure the structural integrity and high-quality finish of our builds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and understand construction plans, blueprints, and drawings to execute carpentry tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Prepare construction sites by building and setting forms for concrete foundations, walls, and structures.
  • Pour, level, and smooth concrete using specialized tools and machinery.
  • Install rebar, wire mesh, or other reinforcing materials within concrete forms to strengthen final structures.
  • Build and install scaffolding and formwork using materials such as lumber, plywood, and steel.
  • Operate a variety of equipment including mini excavator, skid steer, rough terrain forklift, jumping jack, and hand tools, ensuring safety regulations are always adhered to.
  • Collaborate with the construction team and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in proper working order.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license or state-issued ID required
  • Proven experience as a carpenter and concrete worker, preferably in large-scale construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Proficient with construction tools, machinery, and techniques related to carpentry and concrete work.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in construction settings.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
