Job summary

Heidelberg Materials in Texas is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair mobile equipment, supporting safe and reliable operations across our sites.

You will perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and support vehicles, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, and complete maintenance documentation and work orders with accuracy, collaborating with operations to improve fleet performance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy mobile equipment.
• Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, powertrains and electrical systems.
• Commitment to safe work practices and company policies.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret technical information.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with focus on quality workmanship.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Must meet site access, safety training, and PPE requirements.
