Job summary

Professional Placement Services is seeking Production Associates for the Melt Shop in Lorain County. This position requires lifting up to 50+ lbs, operating heavy machinery, and reading work orders on second and third shifts. Safety equipment must be worn and a strong work ethic is essential.

Candidates should be comfortable in a heavy manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and capable of performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Heavy manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ lbs.
• Must wear respiratory safety equipment and be clean shaved.
• Standing and bending for long periods; varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and read work orders.
• Understand quality expectations and work within standards.
• Operate heavy machinery.
• Create molds and cores for metal sand casting.
• Lift up to 50+ lbs consistently.
• Work in a heavy manufacturing environment (sand, fluctuating temps).
• Use equipment such as hand tools, tow motors, blasters and overhead/JIB cranes.
• Work with a team as well as independently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
