Job Overview

This position involves consulting and interpreting aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine the best repair methods for malfunctioning or damaged components. Responsibilities include performing maintenance actions such as bolting, torquing, rigging, and safety wiring, as well as removing and replacing aircraft components, engines, and flight controls. The technician will also return aircraft to service after completing all required maintenance, using company logbooks or customer documentation.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Airframe and Powerplant license
  • Working knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with computer-based applications
  • Understanding of FAA regulations related to CFR Part 145 repair station operations, Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Overhaul Manuals, Servicer Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Illustrated Parts Catalogues, and Structural Repair Manuals
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years of heavy, line maintenance, or transport category aircraft experience
  • 3+ years of Boeing 767 experience (highly preferred)
  • Hands-on experience in a heavy maintenance transport or regional jets environment
  • Experience at a FAR 145 repair station
  • Experience with Boeing 767 Classic & Next Generation aircraft
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and travel as needed for off-site maintenance
  • Must provide necessary tools as listed
  • Good eye/hand coordination and clear vision
  • Ability to work at heights up to 80 feet and lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work in confined spaces with respiratory equipment
  • Capability to bend, crawl, twist, and maintain positions for extended periods
  • Skill in manipulating hand tools precisely in various situations
