Job summary

You will diagnose faults with diagnostic tools, read manuals and blueprints, and ensure repairs meet safety standards.

You will also train junior mechanics, maintain detailed records, manage parts inventory, and provide emergency repair services to keep operations running smoothly at our site.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting heavy machinery and performing preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read manuals and blueprints to diagnose issues.
• Welding and fabricating skills for repair and fabrication work.
• Capable of training junior mechanics and apprentices.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth inspection of heavy machinery to identify faults.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes and filter replacements.
• Replace worn parts such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic components.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to test and diagnose systems.
• Read and interpret manuals and blueprints for repairs.
• Maintain safety standards and wear appropriate PPE.
• Keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Order parts and manage inventory on schedule.
• Communicate with team to coordinate complex repairs.
• Provide emergency repair services as needed.
• Train and mentor junior mechanics or apprentices.
• Maintain organized workspace and ensure equipment meets industry standards.
