Job summary

Peninsula Iron Works is seeking an Assembler I to safely assemble, fit, and join components in heavy mechanical production. You will work under supervision, perform material transactions, and collaborate with line workers to ensure quality and on-time output.

Knowledge of blueprints, tape measures, and mechanical concepts is essential. Responsibilities include using hand and pneumatic tools, reading diagrams, and maintaining safety standards while contributing to efficient production through

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
• Knowledge of mechanical concepts and procedures.
• Experience with assembly and using hand tools and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit, and join components per specifications and schedule.
• Perform material transactions for the production line and detect issues.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move parts and materials.
• Read diagrams, schematics, or blueprints and document activities accurately.
• Ensure safety requirements are followed and report problems promptly.
• May perform basic welding, painting, and cleaning tasks as needed.
• Document checks and adjustments using appropriate processes and instruments.
