Job summary

AutoNation, America's largest automotive retailer, is seeking a Certified Technician II to repair and maintain vehicles to dealer and factory standards. You will build trust and drive customer loyalty while communicating with Parts and Service Advisors and staying current with training.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in automotive tech, HS diploma, and a valid in-state license. We offer paid training, OEM certs, and opportunities to advance across a nationwide footprint.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Valid in-state driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repair if authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and make recommendations to ensure safety and reliability.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain an inventory of tools not normally inventoried by the Service department.
• Keep abreast of factory bulletins and participate in training classes.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
