Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Waterloo, IA is seeking a dependable General Laborer to support daily production operations. The role provides backup support to equipment operators by following instructions and work orders to ensure parts are processed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

You’ll stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat and noise. Training is provided; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing or production experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable around hot processing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach during the day.
• Use hands for repetitive tasks and handling parts and tools.
• Load/unload/position parts on fixtures safely and efficiently.
• Work around heat, noise, dust, varying temperatures with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide backup support to equipment operators as needed.
• Follow process instructions, work orders, and quality standards.
• Fixture, mask, clean, load, and unload customer parts.
• Prepare parts for processing with proper handling to prevent damage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Inspect parts for quality and report issues to supervisors.
• Assist with general production tasks to support workflow and schedules.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
