Summary:

The Depot Lift Operator is responsible for executing all phases of container repair to meet company standards for quality control and to provide the best customer service centered quality service at the lowest possible cost. This role is accountable for proper yard checks for all tanks/ containers/ chassis for all departments as well as personal compliance with all company policies. The Depot Lift Operator is responsible for working with the lead Mechanic when necessary and executing all activities related to CBSL lift operations. In addition, the Depot Lift Operator will also perform other duties as instructed by the Manager of Container Operations/ Operations Manager.

Duties include (but not limited to):

  • Responsible for all lift operations.
  • Spot inspections of the chassis prior to loading a container (tires, bulbs, mud flaps, etc).
  • Loading and unloading of containers
  • Maintaining an orderly and safe yard.
  • Daily care and inspection of all lifts you are responsible for which entails checking the tires, oil, fuel, cleanliness, etc.
  • Container inventory checks on the computer.
  • Handling inbound and outbound inspections
  • Responsible for ensuring that all paperwork is handled appropriately to meet proper company standards for quality control
  • Able to distinguish between dirty and clean tanks.
  • Responsible for enforcing and practicing safety rules and company policy.
  • Accountable for personal compliance with all company policies.
Job Requirements Include:
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Knowledge and understanding of DOT, HOS & FMCSA standards
  • Frequent standing, bending, and walking
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Overhead
  • Must be able to withstand weather conditions
