Job Responsibilities:
  1. Load, unload, and move inventory using heavy capacity fork trucks according to work orders and supervisor directives.
  2. Operate fork trucks to lift, move, and position steel and heavy materials to designated stock areas.
  3. Load and unload trailers and railroad cars.
  4. Drive and operate fork trucks in various conditions and spaces.
  5. Log and report inventory location changes via inventory computer system and/or paperwork.
  6. Assemble customer orders based on work orders.
  7. Record relevant material information on work orders and other forms as required by management.
  8. Maintain accuracy within precise limits and standards.
  9. Coordinate with multiple warehouse areas and coworkers to complete tasks.
  10. Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, prioritizing safety for oneself and others.
  11. Proactively seek out work and complete assigned tasks with initiative.
  12. Work as a team player with a positive attitude and respect for workplace culture.
  13. Maintain dependable and punctual attendance.
  14. Work overtime and weekends as needed based on business requirements.
  15. Perform other warehouse or related tasks as assigned, including special projects.
  16. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including reading and writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with heavy capacity fork trucks, material handling, and working with steel is preferred.
