Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy highway projects in the Kansas City area. You will coordinate crews, equipment, and subcontractors to deliver work safely, on time, and to plan specifications.

The role requires directing field activities and interfacing with owners, engineers, and project managers. You will oversee schedules and daily production across paving, earthworks, and road construction while maintaining a strong safety and quality focus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience, preferably in heavy highway or heavy civil construction.
• Experience as Superintendent, Foreman, or similar field leadership role.
• Strong understanding of heavy highway, roadway, paving, concrete, earthwork, or civil construction.
• Experience coordinating field crews, equipment, subcontractors, and material suppliers.
• Ability to manage project schedules and daily production.
• Experience working with owners, engineers, inspectors, and project managers.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Ability to track project costs and production.
• Strong commitment to jobsite safety and quality.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to solve field issues and keep projects moving.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on heavy highway and civil construction projects.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities.
• Oversee project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
• Work directly with owners, engineers, project managers, and field personnel.
• Gain exposure to asphalt paving, concrete paving, milling, earthwork, and roadway construction.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
