Job summary

Ames Construction invites driven individuals to begin or advance a career in heavy civil construction through comprehensive apprenticeship programs. Trainees gain hands‑on experience across multiple crafts, including heavy equipment operation, truck driving, concrete carpentry, pipefitting, millwright work and general labor.

These opportunities are based in the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area with travel to project sites nationwide.

Working Conditions

• Travelcan berequiredwith this position within the United States.This position is based out of Central Area Office but will require travel to project sites.

• Work is primarily performed on activeconstructionjobsites, including highways, roadways, and heavy civil infrastructure projects.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying materials

• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance

• Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and dust.

• Frequent interaction with heavy equipment, moving machinery, traffic, and construction hazards; strict adherence to safety protocols isrequired.

• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all job sites.
