This position requires experience working with Open Deck freight, specifically Heavy Haul/Over Dimensional (OD) loads.

Position: Heavy Haul/Over Dimensional Open Deck Logistics Specialist

Sims Global Solutions leads in Heavy Haul/Over Dimensional-Open Deck Freight. We seek an experienced professional to support logistics from quoting to delivery, communicating effectively with clients and carriers.

Responsibilities:

• Grow division revenue in Heavy Haul and Over-Dimension loads
• Manage operations, processes, and systems related to Heavy Haul and Overdimensional loads
• Multitask and prioritize shipments and responsibilities
• Maintain a customer service-oriented approach
• Communicate effectively and with attention to detail
• Gather data on carrier payments
• Handle carrier communications via calls and emails
• Manage carrier invoices and maintain balance sheets
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies
• Post available loads and source trucks from our carrier network
• Negotiate rates with customers and carriers
• Coordinate follow-up and communication between customers and carriers

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of current experience with Heavy Haul/Over Dimension Loads
• Motivated, competitive, personable, and able to work independently and in teams
• Strong communication, decision-making, time management, sales, and negotiation skills
• Problem-solving and research skills for complex issues
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proficient in computer applications
• Strong analytical abilities
