Job summary

Warren Equipment Company seeks a Heavy Haul Driver II to operate a class 8 tractor and trailer (open deck) moving equipment up to 60,000 pounds. You will load, secure, and transport cargo, perform inspections, maintain logs, and communicate with dispatch using company technology, while ensuring FMCSA compliance.

Requirements include a Class A CDL, DOT Medical Card, and proven ability to work with customers and vendors. Flexibility for travel and a safety-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year certificate or related experience preferred
• Class A CDL license verified through DMV; DOT Physical/Medical Card required
• Ability to load/unload, secure cargo, and operate construction equipment safely
• Strong reading/writing skills and the ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Pass pre-employment physical and Work Steps assessment
• Must be flexible with work schedule and travel up to 100%

Responsibilities

• Drive class 8 tractor-trailer (Open Deck) with up to 6 axles
• Haul oversized/overweight machines up to 60,000 pounds
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo per FMCSA and company requirements
• Maintain electronic log and report load status to dispatch
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and address deficiencies
• Operate construction equipment as needed
• Communicate with customers and vendors and follow directions
• Maintain confidentiality of customers and store operations
• Be available for extended driving periods and travel
