Job summary

Midland Contracting Inc, a family-owned highway and sitework grading contractor serving eastern South Dakota, is hiring for the 2025 construction season with a tentative start date April 15, 2025.

We are seeking HEAVY HAUL TRUCK DRIVERS with a Class A CDL to transport heavy and oversized loads, inspect vehicles, call in permits, and maintain accurate records. This role may require travel in the Eastern SD area, Monday–Friday with occasional weekends and company-paid lodging and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A CDL.
• Willing to Travel in the Eastern SD Area.
• Monday-Friday (occasional weekends)

Responsibilities

• Transport heavy and oversized loads using Detachable Low Boy Trailer.
• Inspect truck for damage or mechanical issues and record any issues.
• Adhere to applicable regulations, including weight limits and safety regulations.
• Call in permits and maintain accurate records of loads and trips.
