Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or Business preferred.
• 2–3 years dispatch, transportation, or logistics experience.
• Heavy Haul or specialized transportation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and ELD systems.
• Experience with transportation management software (TMS), GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers, tractors, and trailers based on customer requirements and equipment availability.
• Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery and provide proactive customer updates.
• Coordinate permits, routing, and delivery requirements for heavy haul shipments.
• Monitor driver Hours of Service (HOS) and ELD compliance.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and equipment repairs with maintenance providers.
• Track fleet availability and equipment utilization to maximize productivity.
• Maintain dispatch records, shipment documentation, and operational reports.
• Support yard operations, trailer staging, and equipment movement.
• Resolve operational issues, scheduling conflicts, and service disruptions.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, vendors, and operations leadership.
