Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a skilled Class 2 Mechanic/Technician to perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment at Komatsu East facilities.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience in the heavy equipment repair industry, with emphasis on engines, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems. The position involves a mix of shop and field work, with opportunities for training, advancement, and family-friendly scheduling in the PA region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
• Experience with engines and major components replacement.
• Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic systems.
• Ability to read and write English and document repairs clearly.
• Strong troubleshooting and safety focus.

Responsabilités

• Perform diagnostics and repair of heavy equipment in shop or field.
• Repair or replace engines and major components as needed.
• Maintain accurate service notes for work orders.
• Operate heavy equipment safely and follow procedures.
• Collaborate with team and participate in training.

Position Qualifications

Successful candidates for a Class 2 Mechanic in our Shop should have 5 plus years of experience in the heavy equipment repair industry, including but not limited to:

• Diagnostic and repair experience with heavy equipment (construction, mining, material handling, paving, milling, etc.)
• Ability to participate in major repair, rebuild, or replace engines and other major components
• Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, etc. systems
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft products as well as industry software
• Ability to read and write the English language
• Ability to convey repair details in clear and accurate service notes for assigned work orders
• Operation of heavy equipment
• Other duties as assigned

As a mechanic or technician with Komatsu East, the physically demanding work is performed in industrial environments and includes exposure to significant environmental conditions, including but not limited to:

• Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing
• Working at heights
• Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, bending, and crouching
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds
• Hand/eye and motor coordination
• Work overtime as needed
• The workplace environmental conditions include subject to noise, heat, cold, odors, hazards, and atmospheric exposures
